Deep Tech and Erotic IoT: Sx Tech Conference Will Rock Berlin on July 1
Event to host an array of great speakers, an exhibit hall, and even a hackathon.
If you’re interested in how technology is impacting human sexuality, and how it will change even more in the future—and, let’s face it, of course, you are if you’re here at Future of Sex—then book your tickets to Berlin now.
Because on July 1, a special one-day event is being held at The Drivery that looks like it will be one of the sex tech highlights of 2019.
Sex tech for everybody
To say that the Sx Tech Conference has it all would be a serious understatement.
As the event’s site explains, in addition to being able to check out the newest devices and technologies in their exhibit booths, the 500+ attendees will also:
…join leading experts within the Sex- and Fem-Tech industries, who will be discussing the current and future states of various deep-technologies, and their impact on social behaviors and norms.
And by experts they really do mean presentations, chats, panels, and discussions by 45 pretty serious ones, including Global Marketing Director at LELO, Luka Matutinović; Dinorah Hernandez, the Head Director BaDoinkVR [NSFW] Network; Co-Founder of Healthy Pleasure Collective, Maria Fernanda Peraza Godoy; Guile Lindroth, Realbotix/Artificial Intelligence Director and Associate; and many others.
And they’ll be covering some diverse and intriguing subjects as well, all dealing with the big questions of sex tech: VR and AR in sexual healing therapy, new directions in contraceptive technology, and if AI lovers will be an inevitable part of the future, plus a lot more.
Robots, AI, and beyond
Part of this will be reflected in the AI Zone and the Robotic panels. The former will be a special exhibition space for demonstrations of new AI and VR technologies—and a display of how fictional sexbots have changed over the years as well as where they might go in the future.
The latter, the Robotic panel, is all about how they might be used to therapy—as well as having possible negative impacts on sex and culture. Part of this will be a special appearance of the Harmony sexbot from Realbotix.
A hackathon to beat all other hackathons
Last but not least, a big part of the event will be a massive hackathon challenge. Participants will be able to, according to the conference site:
Coalesce leading deep technology solutions, such as AR, VR; Blockchain, AI, Cybersecurity, Data, Sustainability. Along with numerous specialists and enthusiasts of the sex tech industry, we will play together within an experimental space, which will yield new results, new ideas and innovative solutions.
The hackathon concludes with the announcing of the winners—and right after that, there’s a recruiting panel with the sponsors for those interested in getting a shot at working in the sex tech industry.
Tickets are on sale now, with the Base Early Bird Special being €198, the Vision Early Bird (with full access) at €289, and the student rate at €80. Details and other ticket options can be found on the Sx Tech website.
Off to Berlin
So if you’re keen on developments AR, VR, AI, sexbots, or the business side of them all, and where all this might be going in the future then you should be heading to the Sx Tech Conference—see you there!
