Registration Now Open for Virtual Congress on Love and Sex with Robots
For $29, attendees of the online LSR 2021 conference can learn the latest on robotics and intimacy.
Greetings from the world of sex technology! We’re pleased to announce that registration for The 6th Love and Sex with Robots Congress is now open.
Between August 18 and 20, 2021, the virtual event will host the biggest meeting of scholars who study sex robots, and everyone is invited!
The topics at this conference are everything you could hope for as a researcher or enthusiast.
Topics will include robot emotions, humanoid robots, robot personalities, teledildonics, sex technology startups, and understanding human-robot interaction from a variety of areas, including psychological, sociological, feminist, ethics, and clinical approaches.
Despite initial plans for the 2021 Love and Sex with Robots Congress to occur in person in Montreal, the event is happening online to keep attendees safe. This has the added benefit of allowing people to join from anywhere in the world, and also not paying for hotels or plane tickets.
The plan is for the conference to resume in-person meetings in 2022, so this may be your last chance to join from the comfort of your home or office.
The event speakers
We also have information about who will be presenting. Dr. Markie L.C. Twist, a therapist and digisexuality expert, Dr. Justin R. Garcia, executive director of the Kinsey Institute, Dr. Lara Karaian, Expert in Criminology, Cybersex, and Feminist, Gender, & Queer studies, and Davecat, iDollator, Activist, & prominent figure in the Synthetiks Community, will all be keynote speakers.
These experts are well known in the field of sex and technology, and this is the first time they have all presented at a single conference. As someone who has seen most of them present, attendees of this conference are in for a treat.
The submission deadline to present at the conference is now June 30th. Info about topics and how to format submissions can be found on the conference website.
If you would like to attend, registration costs $29 per attendee. More information can be found on the registration page. While there will be some amazing scientists attending, you can join as an enthusiast or just as someone who is curious about the topics.
