Gender-Neutral Sex Tech and Wellness Are Here to Stay
Four experts explain why the trend towards gender-neutral sexual wellness is more than just a fad.
Over the last few years, gender-neutral sex tech and sexual wellness brands have begun making waves in an industry that is dominated by gendered marketing.
Companies like Cute Little Fuckers and enby, created by nonbinary people for people of all gender identities, have found success selling products that aren’t designed for any one sex or gender identity.
Future of Sex spoke with sex tech and sexual wellness experts to find out if they think genderless products are here to stay.

“This trend away from strict gender marketing in the adult toy world will absolutely continue.
“People want products that they relate to, and strict gender-neutrality is the safe middle ground that is equally appealing, and unappealing, to all.
“As people continue to have more full and unique experiences of gender, so too will the marketing campaigns of successful toy companies be filled with gender experiences that go between and beyond the strict parameters companies & culture has been stuck in for decades.
“To this new majority of shoppers, gender-neutral will feel uninteresting, and the old gender lines will feel antiquated if not just repugnant. I believe gender-expansive marketing will dominate the future of adult toys.”
