Lux Botics Founder on the Lighter, Sexually Autonomous Sexbots of the Future
More advanced algorithms will enhance sexual personality and performance for robotic companions.
As part of our ongoing Future of Sex Expert series, the founder of service robot company Lux Botics, Bjorn Johnsson, shares what will be the most exciting developments in sex robots over the next five years.
There are already many exciting developments in sex robots.
Today sex robots can move body parts, talk and see with cameras in the eyes, and detect people and objects. Sex robots can look and feel very real and can even have body heating so they feel warm which increases the realism.
Simulated breathing, vaginas that can relax and contract (orgasmic convulsions), Really anything is possible even today. Already so many things are possible, it is just a matter of how much a customer is willing to pay.
But here are a few things I am sure we will see within five years that aren’t really here yet.
- Sex robots will be able to stand and walk which will make life easier for the sex robot owner. This is one thing Lux Botics is currently working on.
- Lighter robotics with different technology. Strong electric motors and actuators are heavy and in order to walk strong motors are needed. Robots with many moving body parts will need many motors and therefore will be heavy. Alternatives to electric motors will be more and more common. Lux Botics is already experimenting with artificial muscles and hybrid artificial muscles. Strong artificial muscles can be made of far lighter materials than electric motors. We might see this in the next coming 5 years.
- Very realistic autonomous sexual performance by the sex robots will be possible within five years. Robots today can already move fairly realistically in a sexual manner like humping, twerking, thrusting, etc, is already here, but as A.I. and algorithms develop further, the autonomy of sexual performance will be far greater and the sexual personality of robots will be far more interesting.
If you buy a sex robot today with a relatively good central processing unit (CPU) and with a fair amount of motorized joints, then that same robot will be so much better in five years only due to downloading and updating the software with new and more advanced algorithms that enhance sexual personality and sexual performance.
