Blockchain-Based Adult Entertainment Is on Its Way
NaftyArt and PornRocket announce new NSFW platforms equipped with blockchain technology and unique cryptocurrencies.
NaftyArt and PornRocket are the latest NSFW platforms to announce that their sites will operate using blockchain technology and unique cryptocurrencies.
NaftyArt, NaftyTokens, and Catwall
NaftyArt, set to launch this month, is a marketplace for NSFW non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The platform will allow vendors to operate without the restrictive censorship that limits explicit content on other platforms.
“Consumers and collectors alike will have the opportunity to purchase one-off pieces or limited-edition collections of their favorite artists’ work,” a NaftyArt rep told XBIZ. The rep added that each NFT will have “easily tracked provenance linking back to the creator and providing long-term revenue for every subsequent resell.”
Transactions can only be made using the platform’s accompanying cryptocurrency, Nafty tokens.
Nafty tokens will also be usable at NaftyArt’s sister site, Catwall, a content subscription platform.
PornRocket offers a wide variety of services
PornRocket is a content sharing site that will bridge the gap between PornHub and OnlyFans and run on a secure blockchain.
The platform offers unlimited uncensored content, no fees for creators, and an “NFT Pornpad,” which enables content creators to auction off NFTs to bidders.
Like NaftyArt, PornRocket has also created its own cryptocurrency, $PORNROCKET, that can be purchased within the app.
PornRocket acquires Intimate.io
On June 14, PornRocket announced that it had entered “a definitive agreement to acquire intimate.io.”
Intimate.io specializes in “blockchain-related payment systems for the adult industry.” Using the company’s service allows payments to be hidden on credit card statements and personal IDs to be hidden but still verifiable.
The company already has established partnerships with 36 brands and services, most of which are in the adult entertainment industry.
