Bi-Autoerotic Intercourse: Sex Tech You Can Make at Home!
Have you ever wondered what you might look like from your lover’s eyes?
With a head-mounted display, tiny video camera, and wireless home (or remote location) networking, the door is wide open for mass production and a complete revolution for adult entertainment viewers, sex workers, and long-distance couples worldwide.
It has been more than a decade since the original plans for the Telepresence Bi-Autoerotic Intercourse design was first outlined on the infamously subversive “wetware design” Hack Canada website. Yet despite a great increase in the usability and functionality of the hardware necessary to build this incredible machine, the amazing out-of-body sex tech has yet to make it out of the living room workshop and onto retail shelves.

The Set-Up
The actual hardware “hacking” is simple: tiny “spycam” sized video cameras, each attached to an individual pair of head-mounted video display glasses. Whether solo, with a single partner, or with dozens of others scattered across the globe, the networking possibilities here are endless, especially if your hardware is capable of wireless transmission. Video feeds and displays can be plugged directly into each other (Video Out from Camera 1 into the Video In of Display Viewer 2, and vice versa) or connected to a computer base station capable of routing feeds to and from the desired location, or even recording feeds for later playback!
The Possibilities
Networked with teledildonics, this kind of remote viewing system can allow a user to see the close-up and in-person effects of their long-distance handiwork not just on a video camera, but close up and personal from the perspective of their lover! Escorts, cam artists, and other sex workers can make recordings, either solo or with a lover, and allow anyone to step into their shoes for a moment. Recorded sessions from a lover’s perspective can give someone the complete visual experience even when their desired partner is unavailable, or give someone a taste of what to expect from the real thing. In addition to new sexual industries and options for web-based communication, what other possibilities does this kind of device hold for changing our sexual perspectives and the way we relate to our partners?
Now with the introduction of Sony’s new $800 3-D high definition head mount, the possibilities for creating truly immersive out-of-body sexual experiences broaden again. What other kinds of new technology do you think will increase and expand the functionality of Autoerotic Intercourse systems? What needs to be improved upon in order to make these systems practical, affordable, and most importantly, desirable?

The shift will be when they combine haptics with this visual technology. Not far away now I suspect
