Sex Gaming Is Ready to Get Disrupted by Tech That Shares Emotions
Old technology used in a creative may be the key to innovation in the field.
As part of our ongoing Future of Sex Expert series, Stan Pupkin of popular online sex game Yareel [NSFW] shares his insights on the next big thing in avatar sex games.
So what will be the next big thing in Avatar sex games?
Of course, it will probably be the VR technology.
There have been A-class VR projects released over the last few years, which drives the “penetration” of the market with VR devices. Steam publicized that the current penetration rate is about 0.6% of all gamers. So we may expect big growth here because the base is really low.
But there is something even bigger than that.
Before James Cameron’s film “Avatar” was released in 2009, 3D cinema technology successfully existed for 70 years. But filmmakers were providing audiences with crappy releases until Cameron came and used the technology in such creative way.
So completely changed the game and the market. We should expect to see the same thing in sex games.
The language of sex is less verbal than any other language we can imagine. It allows people to share pleasure in the form of pure emotions without any words.
Unfortunately, despite all the technological progress, the most time spent by sex gamers is sexting in chatrooms. Sex game interfaces are not yet able to provide people with the proper tools to share their feelings as they desire.
Sex gaming is something completely other than classic pornographic content where people want to see the material process of sexual acts.
In gaming, it goes much deeper and works not on a physical level where you are limited by your material condition, the length of your penis for example.
But you may communicate on the level of sexual fantasies.
So the next nonverbal interface to properly share emotional energy will be the real big thing in the avatar sex industry. It will probably not be something related to VR and technologies at all.
As I mentioned with “Avatar,” it could be something invented decades ago and just waiting for its hero to come and use it in the proper creative way.
