Six years after a failed crowdfunding effort, the kGoal ‘Boost’ kegel exerciser and app have an official release date.

The portable kegel trainer kGoal Boost officially launches on November 29, a company representative has confirmed to FutureofSex.net.

The product includes a Bluetooth device and a companion app that guides users through exercises.

The release comes six years after Minna Life, the company behind the kGoal Boost, hosted a successful crowdfunding campaign for its original kegel product, the kGoal for women. Months later, Minna Life unsuccessfully attempted to raise funds for the kGoal Boost, and the product was never released — until now.

Kegels aren’t just for women

The kGoal Boost is specifically designed to measure movement in the male pelvic floor — unlike the original kGoal, which is inserted into the vagina, the kGoal boost is used fully clothed.

To measure their pelvic floor activities, users simply sit on the powered-on device and follow along with the guided activities and games on the compatible app.

Gender and crowdfunded kegels

In 2015, the sex tech company Minna Life created a crowdfunding campaign for the original kGoal, an “​​an interactive training system for pelvic floor exercise” for women.

Despite questions about the ethics of the campaign, backers eventually pledged over $266,000 — nearly three times the company’s original goal.

Before the end of the year, Minna Life unrolled a second crowdfunding campaign — this time for the kGoal Boost, a pelvic floor training system for men. Unlike the original kGoal, the Boost project failed to reach its funding goal of $100,000.

Interest continued after failed campaign

In the years since, the kGoal projects split from Minna Life Inc. and launched as Therapy Holdings Inc. While Minna Life continues to carry products for sexual pleasure, kGoal’s new parent company keeps pelvic floor health at its center.

Although the kGoal Boost never met its crowdfunding goal, the kGoal went on to become a well-known product in the sexual health and wellness space.

kGoal never attempted to raise funds for the Boost project again, but the company’s website accepted “reservations” for the product.

“The reservations for Boost kept trickling in,” Brian Krieger, a developer of the kGoal Boost, told FutureofSex.net. “That was an incredibly strong signal that a lot of people were interested in this idea, and that there wasn’t anything out there that was meeting that need.”

“Eventually, our business with kGoal reached a point where we were able to get Boost over the hump with manufacturing and the other things needed to bring it to market,” said Krieger.

Games and workouts designed to make kegels fun

The kGoal boost is designed to be used with an app that includes games and guided workouts. The device synchronizes with iOS and Android devices to monitor the user’s kegels.

According to the company’s website, “​​Each workout is designed so that it forces you to work on multiple different aspects of your pelvic floor muscle function, such as strength, endurance, muscle motor control, muscle relaxation, and quick-twitch muscle response.”

On the lush planet Kerpal, sexual advances are not guaranteed to succeed. Sexual desirability among the game’s NPCs, like the ability to fight dangerous predators, is an in-game skill that must be developed.

This sets Wild Life apart from other sex simulators, where sex doesn’t have to be earned and can lean towards gratuitous, and more pornographic than realistic.

“Our aim with Wild Life is not only to create a top-notch gaming experience but also revolutionize the way the mainstream gaming market thinks of and interacts with sex,” said Christian Wagenfeldt, CEO of Candy Valley Network.

Interactive demo

Although the game is not yet available in its entirety, the demo offers over 100 sex animations and a small portion of the storyline.

The demo is also equipped with the capability to be synchronized with Lovense toys. When using a Lovense device, players can physically experience sexual pleasure that mimics the action onscreen.

“[By] Integrating Lovense smart sex toys with Wild Life, a next-level action role-playing game, we have created a unique gaming experience that will impress players with its interactivity and sensations”, said Dan Liu, Lovense CEO.

A big October for Lovense

This partnership marks another major milestone for Lovense — in the last month alone, the company has announced a new capability for their teledildonic devices and two unique sex toys.

The Lovense Remote app now gives users the option to put their toys on Speed Mode. This function synchronizes Lovense toys with the user’s motion: when the toy detects acceleration, its movement intensifies; when it detects deceleration, its movement also slows.

New additions to the teledildonic lineup

This capability can be used with Lovense’s brand-new toy, Hyphy.

The dual-end high-frequency vibrator comes with three optional attachments, each meant to provide pleasure to a different part of the body. The wide side of hyphy can be used to deliver broad stimulation to any part of the body.

The nonsurgical procedure promises a “significant increase” in girth using naturally derived ingredients.

In a recent interview [NSFW] with Davey Wavey, adult performer Ray Dexter revealed that he had undergone a nonsurgical procedure to enlarge his penis.

Although the adult star was naturally well-endowed, Dexter decided to undergo the Shafer Width and Growth procedure in part because his “Penis is [his] brand.”

When asked if stereotypes about Asian men having small penises influenced his decision to undergo the procedure, Dexter responded that he often asked himself “Why is [my penis considered] big for an Asian, why can’t it just be big for the general public?”

The SWAG procedure

Dr. David Shafer, a plastic surgeon located in New York, created the revolutionary procedure for penile enhancement that requires no surgical intervention

According to a rep, the procedure “involves injections of hyaluronic acid filler (the same that are used commonly in the face and buttocks) into the penile shaft and glans (head) to significantly increase penis girth and moderately increase in penis length.”

Hyaluronic acid is naturally occurring in the body. Dr. Shafer claims that this makes the chance that the body will reject the injections “almost zero.”

The SWAG procedure takes roughly 30 minutes, and requires only topical and local anesthesia.

Choosing a procedure

The SWAG Procedure can be completed using two products: Juvederm Voluma, a hyaluronic-based filler that lasts two years; and Bellafill, a bovine collagen filler that lasts four years.

“Voluma is reversible with a naturally occurring enzyme, which gives an added level of safety and flexibility in fine-tuning patient results,” Dr. Shafer told Future of Sex. Additionally, “the chance of rejection by the body for Voluma is almost zero.”

Bellafill, on the other hand, is non-reversible and not naturally occurring. This means the procedure and the results carry inherently higher risk for the patient.

Dr. Shafer therefore generally recommends that patients test the procedure and its effects with Voluma before moving forward with Bellafill.

Avoid “bargain shopping”

Dr. Shafer also warns against searching for penis fillers that come at a “bargain.”

“These injection techniques are advanced and should not be attempted by new injectors or non-doctors,” said Dr. Shafer. “There are potential serious complications such as intravascular injection which could lead to tissue necrosis.”

Additionally, “Unethical offices may inject counterfeit products or silicone-based products which are not reversible and often require surgical intervention to cure.”
