2017 was a big year for VR porn. The adult industry raked in $18 million worth of sales and released more than 2,700 immersive sex videos, according to stats compiled by VR porn aggregator site SexLikeReal [NSFW]. That's a lot of action considering the site estimates about half of all VR porn flicks ever made were created in 2017.
New trends include a shift to videos filmed for the female POV and a welcome jump in film quality. SexLikeReal also predicts that 2018 will witness a rise in the number of 360-degree videos released due to more professional 360-degree video cameras hitting the market.
