CEO destabilizes business and creator confidence with messages from beyond.

ManyVids (MV), which defined itself in a recent blog post as “an 18+ pop-culture platform for adults — not just a traditional adult site. An online cultural space, home to both NSFW and SFW creators, just like real museums that celebrate every form of human expression, including the human body in art,” is seemingly in the midst of a prolonged AI psychosis episode, or at least Bella French, the CEO and co-founder, might be.

According to an article by Samantha Cole in 404Media, the ManyVids messaging switched in mid-2025 from basic site promotion and how-to tips to messages featuring “existential and metaphysical musings…cryptic quotes, phrases, and images, many seemingly generated by or about AI.”

I wanted to see this for myself, so I took a gander at the ManyVids’ internal news feed. Recent posts include a New Year’s greeting featuring a brief exchange with an alien, and everything from Biblical quotes to references to a “High Universal Income (HUI) Engine” (whatever that is) and “Boutique Bitcoin Condos.” Even a supposed “message from Green Tara” hardly makes any sense.

Creators who post on MV are rightfully concerned about this strange behavior which risks further tarnishing the platform and potentially ruining their income streams.

What’s reality got to do with it?

Now, I like my woo as much as the next conceptually flailing human, but the blog’s use of the hashtag #LoveAlwaysWins seems an eerie echo of the Love Has Won/Galactic Federation of Light cult made famous by an abusive leader who turned purplish blue before she died in 2021, and whose remains were carted around for several weeks, covered in glitter and Christmas tree lights.

Cultish cautionary tales could be instructive for the folks running ManyVids, even without the additional, very real risk of executive susceptibility to AI psychosis.

It seems a shame that MV, until recently something of a safe haven for individuals who create NSFW content for a living, is now jeopardizing its own customer base by promoting dubious messages and allowing AI slop to overrun its business. As one creator said to 404Media, “It concerns me that access to my earnings, and more importantly my personal information, is in the hands of someone seemingly out of touch with reality.”

Cole points out:

ManyVids takes a larger-than-most cut from creators’ profits, depending on the type of content: For videos and contest earnings (which are similar to tips), the platform takes 40 percent. On tips and custom video sales, it takes 20 percent, which is more in line with other adult platforms.

So MV creators are still paying a premium price for what is rapidly becoming a shaky, and perhaps even substandard brand. This seems unsustainable, at best. If questionable AI content is allowed to continue, few are going to want to stick around for whatever comes next, because content creators are not going to want their own work devalued and besmirched by contagion.

AI psychosis: a hyper-focused, feed-back loop of flattery

Psychiatrist Keith Sakata, has treated at least a dozen people who were hospitalized—actually hospitalized!—with AI-induced psychosis. In December 2025 he told The Wall Street Journal, “The technology might not introduce the delusion, but the person tells the computer it’s their reality and the computer accepts it as truth and reflects it back, so it’s complicit in cycling that delusion.”

An article in Futurism says, “What this looks like in practice is that the bots tend to flatter the users and tell them what they want to hear, even if what the user is saying has no basis in reality.”

RECOMMENDED READ: Too Much Bot Love? Overindulgence May Be Emotionally Unhealthy

According to a case study recently published in Innovations in Clinical Neuroscience, these cases are becoming so common that researchers and clinicians are now trying to determine the differences between “new onset” psychosis—occurring in people with no previous history of mental health problems—and “exacerbation of pre-existing psychopathology.” Speaking to the complexity of this emerging mental health issue, researchers wrote:

Users tend to overestimate the accuracy of LLM responses and that trust in LLMs is predicted by attributions of intelligence rather than anthropomorphism. Additionally, the proclivity for AI engagement is associated with lower literacy or objective knowledge about AI as well as the tendency to “perceive AI as magical and experience feelings of awe” when witnessing AI’s ability to execute tasks. Such findings suggest that deification—that is, regarding AI chatbots as a kind of superhuman intelligence or god-like entity—might be another risk factor for AI-associated psychosis.

The study also advised clinicians and researchers to “examine the necessity of pharmacological intervention and the efficacy of preventative strategies for users including avoiding immersion and deification through sleep restoration, “digital detoxes,” and enhanced AI literacy.

“Your favorite pop-culture platform for adults that also 100% believes in aliens”

While enhanced AI literacy is generally needed, perhaps a more specific and urgent intervention would target entrepreneurs and business executives such as Bella French of ManyVids, as well as politicians and those who are influential in business, politics, civic life, academia, science, and so on. These are the folks who are dazzled by the promises of big tech and are rushing to just add AI to just about everything, thereby exposing the rest of us to unforeseen risks we have no way of dodging.

These are also the people who have the resources to expand their reach and spread their mission and their views, no matter how nonsensical. So of course we get…aliens.

It is particularly sad that individuals whose livelihoods depend on platforms such as ManyVids don’t have that many safe options for doing their work elsewhere. And it is also sad when precious, sex-positive resources—whether commercial or educational—are sullied by AI slop that has no basis in reality.

Can you handle 4,300 targeted vibrations and oscillations per minute?

Upon unboxing Lovense’s Gush 2, the first thing I noticed is how light, balanced, and ergonomically pleasant it felt to hold, in comparison with other similar toys. That’s important to me, as my hands are small and I’m always the one to hold and stroke with these types of toys in order to control the pleasure experienced by my penis-endowed partner.

This toy is so easy to use and enjoy! It wrap around a penis with flexible flaps so insertion is easy and possible at any stage of tumescence. Imagine a vibrating taco shape wrapped around a vegan hot dog and you’ll get the idea. Though trust me, Gush 2 is a lot more fun.

Gush 2’s asymmetric flaps are flexible and comfortable. Optional adjustable bands can also convert it from a hand-held stroker to a hands-free toy. In partner play, this means I can now use my hands to do other things too, or have my partner do other things to me, all while they are strapped in and succumbing to the powerful oscillations and vibrations of Gush.

Gush 2 also has a soft, chamois-like feel, inside and out, that is quite different from the hard plastic exterior of another of my favorites, Pulse Dragon Eye by Hot Octopuss. That’s because Gush 2 is made with 100% pure, body-safe silicone.

“It all happened so fast”

After our first time with Gush 2, my partner mentioned their quick response to the toy and then said how much they liked the greater flexibility of the folds and the softer texture, compared to Pulse, our previous, favorite “go to” toy, which is heavier and has thicker, less flexible flaps. I got the distinct impression my partner would rather experience Gush from now on.

The Pulse line is a fine group of toys, so I’m not throwing shade, however I can’t help but notice similarities as well as some key differences between Gush 2 and Pulse. Both have a similar purpose: stimulation that doesn’t rely on degree of erection. They each have a lining of inner ridges in addition a circular vibration center positioned to stimulate the frenulum—a particularly sensitive area—as well as the shaft and head.

However, the ridges that line Gush 2 are thinner and more numerous than those in the Pulse toys, which are thicker. This made me wonder if the combination of powerful 4,300 per minute oscillations and vibrations and a subtler inner surface are more pleasurable than they would be with thicker, harder ridges? Excuse me while I go check!

Gushing out of the box

Penis Size Graphic from Lovense Gush 2 product page.

The Gush 2 comes with a magnetic charging cord, two flexible bands that can secure it in place for hands-free use, and an instruction booklet with a slightly larger typeface than most. You may also use the QR code printed on the booklet to access free apps that sync with Gush 2.

Gush 2 is quiet and easy to control, with just one button to power on and off by pressing it for three seconds. A tap to this same button will enable you to cycle through seven kinds of pre-programed vibrations and oscillations (the original Gush did not oscillate).

If you’re curious about the power of the Gush 2 but don’t have a penis yourself, I recommend inserting a couple of fingers inside it after turning it on, or holding its base against the palm of your hands, so you can feel each of these settings yourself. No wonder this toy could easily become anyone’s favorite stroker!

The toy has a 1 year warranty, and can pair with the following Lovense products for both remote and in-person play:

Edge 2 prostate massager;
Diamo cock ring;
Lush 4 g-spot vibrator.

You can use it with the Lovense Remote app to sync with it games and music (there’s a sound activation feature), and the Vibe Mate app will enable you to sync Gush 2 with interactive video content. The Remote app also gives you access to more customized oscillations and vibrations.

Gush 2 is fully waterproof (IPX7 rating) for easy cleaning and use in shower or tub. It weighs 195 grams. Charging for 75 minutes gives you 110 minutes of play. Use it only with water based lube. Lovense of course recommends its own brand.

Just one downside

I made the mistake of trying to fasten the optional straps around Gush 2, after applying lube to the toy. This made using the straps impossibly slippery and it was hard to get the small pegs to fit into the stretchy holes of the straps. If you are going to use the straps, put everything in place first, then drizzle lube into the toy’s interior and onto the penis.

Other than that, everything was easy. In fact, the toy’s product page even tells you how to gauge how tightly you’ll fit the straps, depending on penis girth. So I give this toy high marks for customer support. Lovense appears to have thought of everything.

High marks for ease of edging and stamina training

Yes, you can get fast results with Gush 2, if speed is what you crave, but a lot of reviewers on the product webpage praise it for hours of edging and stamina training enjoyment.

Speaking of reviews, one user said Gush is great for “discreet public play” with his wife. Though the toy is relatively compact I have a hard time seeing how it can be worn discreetly, unless one wears a trench coat, inflatable costume, or sits in a car.

Another user said “it made a boring trip to see parents for the holidays really fun and exciting.” Pass the cranberry sauce, indeed!

Another said, “Its fun to use for solo sessions but letting someone else control is amazing!” As I mentioned earlier, the toy’s ergonomic design makes this much easier for the person doing in-person toy topping.

Finally, Gush 2 is reasonably priced as well as well-designed and exceptionally pleasurable. I give it a five stars!

Over sixty is sexy: “I’ll have more of what she’s having”

A new study has concluded that more older women in the United States are using sextoys, and having more orgasms when they do, in both solo and partnered sex. These conclusions are based on a representative sample of 3,001 female-identified respondents over the age of 60.

A November 26th press release from The Menopause Society just announced these results, based on a study conducted by researchers from The Kinsey Institute and Department of Gender Studies, both at Indiana University at Bloomington, and was fielded in 2023 by Prodege, a professional data collection site.

Though it’s tempting to describe these results as the Golden Age of Sextech meets the Golden Years and leave it at that, the truth is, one of the reasons for this is hardly surprising. Researchers said “COVID-19 may also have influenced the use of sextoys, since reports indicated a spike in the sale of sextoys during the pandemic.”

Of the women who reported masturbating at least once in the last year, 46.4% used toys almost always or always during masturbation, compared with 5.1% who used sextoys almost always or always during partnered sex. Those who reported almost always or always using sextoys during masturbation were significantly more likely to report always or almost always having an orgasm compared with the lower frequency sextoy users.

The researchers also suggest that due to a growing number of older women living alone, sex-toy companies have recognized them as a unique market, increasingly designing and marketing toys specifically for women in this demographic.

Someone old, something new—try a toy and don’t be blue!

Let’s face it, the physical changes that come with aging aren’t always enjoyable. For people with female-assigned bodies, some of those changes include the thinning of vaginal tissue, leading to dryness and discomfort; differences in hormone levels; and other results of menopause and beyond.

These changes, combined with factors such as the loss of a partner or partners, illnesses or other physical challenges, and feelings of being invisible and undesirable in a culture that seemingly only values youthful beauty, make it easy enough to give up on your sex life and just f-f-f-fade away (Boomers, you’ll get this reference, I hope).

Or at least, that’s how it used to be. Now, with the internet absolutely bursting with sextoy companies, especially ones that are female or queer-owned, and an array of clitoral, vaginal, anal, and nipple toys, plus lubricants—not to mention immensely useful senior sex ed websites like Joan Price’s—the only real barrier to accessing new pleasures might be financial.

Even the American Association of Retired People (AARP) has gotten into supporting erotic elders with blogs like “10 Top Sex Ed Tips for Those 50 and Older.” Better yet, try Kinkly’s “How to Have a Fulfilling Sex Life After 50” as it’s better informed.

Why not enjoy yourself more than once a year?

The benefits of an active sex life or fairly frequent bouts of self-pleasure are well-known. WebMD lists diminished stress, improved sleep, boosted immune system, pain relief, and many other advantages of sexual intimacy, with Healthline and AARP having similar lists.

That said, these sorts of lists may be discouraging for single people, which is where masturbation and sextoys come in; especially important for people to know who live in female-shaped bodies.

Back to the study: 1,451 of the 3,001 participants said they masturbate, but a surprising 89 of them only did it once a year! 528 said they did it a few times a year. 394 said they self-pleasured a few times a month, 137 said they did it a few times a week and 10—“those few, those happy few” (Shakespearean scholars, you’ll forgive the paraphrase from Henry V, I hope)—did it at least once a day.

649 respondents said they always experienced orgasm during masturbation and another 462 said they almost always did. 212 always used sextoys during masturbation and 166 almost always did. However, 814 of the 1,451 respondents had at least tried using a sextoy at least once during masturbation. The most popular toy types for both masturbation and partner sex were penetrative toys and external vibrators.

Almost all of the respondents who said they self-pleasure indicated they would like to have more sex, though it is not clear if it was partnered sex they wanted more of). But since only 612 of 3,001 respondents said they had partner sex at least once within the last year, we might assume this is what they meant.

Give yourself over to absolute pleasure

Life is short and its pleasures may be fleeting, so why not reach for a sextoy or a

partner—or both—every chance you get? The more pleasure, the better, right? When you feel crummy or in pain, a jolt of joy might be just what you need. We all need to permit ourselves to enjoy what our bodies can give us, more often than not.

But maybe many people don’t, because they don’t understand the benefits of pleasure, or feel intimidated or shy about exploring their options. The researchers suggest that older women and female-identified people would benefit “from information from health care professionals about sex, masturbation, and orgasm. Studies indicate, however, that only a small proportion of older adults seek professional help for sexual concerns.” And that’s a shame, because professional help does exist!

The significance of this study, and others like it, cannot be overstated:

Rather than supporting ageist assumptions about lack of interest in sextoys or orgasm among older adults, this study demonstrates that many older adults use sextoys and that their use promotes orgasm. In this regard, there may be more similarities than differences between younger and older adults. Orgasm, in turn, may promote positive health outcomes that could improve overall health and well-being in older adults.

‘Nuff said.

There’s no denying that the last few years have seen flat out amazing developments in all sorts of technology, especially those of a (ahem) sexual nature.

Virtual reality alone has gone from a clumsy, bulky near-joke to a rapidly rising star moving toward common acceptance. You know things are really happening when one year it’s the medium-sized-but-eager Oculus Riftand the next it’s the giant Sony with their own PlayStation VR.

Sextech, though, has really been rocking on the hardware, where the mechanical meets the meat, so to speak. Teledildonics, like VR, used to be a pipedream—to use a silly sexual allusion. But coming very soon, the cyberpunk wet dreams of the 90s will no doubt be standard pieces of equipment for digital erotic explorers.

The future’s on the way

Just look at a few of these Future of Sex articles, which show how physical sexual technology has moved from blue-sky dreaming to some actual, functional prototypes:

Ben Barnes reported on The Teslasuit: a full-body “smart textile” garment that uses electromagnetic impulses to simulate all kinds of sensations such as “warm breeze, water submersion” and, best of all, human touch.

Jenna Owsianik introduced us to HaptoClone, which uses airborne ultrasound tactile display to give the illusion of physical contact with holograms

Jenna also wrote about how Lovense is working with VirtualRealPorn [NSFW] , an adult entertainment website, to integrate videos and their haptic sex toys to allow users to “feel the performers’ movements from a first-person perspective.”

Potentially arousing possibilities

The Teslasuit has the potential to use the entire body for technological erotic play, but it stops at the neck. HaptoClone could be full body, however, it’s not been developed for genitals at all, only manual touch.

In time, perhaps, the Teslasuit and HaptoClone prototypes could be made to be much more full-body experiences. But in the meantime, many sextech developers seem to be focusing solely on human “happy bits.”

As wiser men than I have said, sexual pleasure is not a matter of genitals. Lots of people experience incredibly fulfilling sex lives without focusing solely on the parts of themselves between their legs. Oral enthusiasts, for instance, see the current breakthroughs as being more than a bit lacking.

The same could be said for those who are passionate about breast play. The Teslasuit again has potential, but sensation is not the same as passion. Those into tickling might be able to be satisfied with electromagnetic or sound/hologrammatic touch—though anyone into solid impact BDSM could be disappointed.

Agreed, we are still in the early stages true technological innovation in regards to sextech, and there will be no doubt some amazing breakthroughs in the coming years. It’s just a tad disheartening to see so much research and development being focused on only very specific human body parts.

Speaking of tomorrow’s pleasures

For oral sex fans, why not devices designed not to be inserted but–for lack of a better word—savored, in other ways? It doesn’t seem like a huge amount of research would be required to interview people who get by giving oral sex to work out a design.

The same would be true for pleasing female genitalia, without the insertion component. Flavor might be a bit of a challenge but, hey, we are a darned resourceful species—especially when it comes to sex.

If you are into erotic breast stimulation, a device could be created that might mix both mechanical action (for firmness) and electromagnetic stimulation or sound/hologrammatic (for gentleness). Suction could also be implemented, especially if coupled with a nice rhythmic motion for extra realism.

For breast play givers, the Japanese have been playing with something close in their oppai breast pillows. All we need is add in some delicate artificial erect responsiveness and… yum!

Kinks on the horizon

BDSM fans have it perhaps a bit easier as mechanical devices can—and have—been used to reproduce everything from a flogger to a cane, just to use two toys as an example. But the spectrum of kink is very wide, with lots of room for experimentation. Perhaps a coupling artificial impact devices with feedback so dominants can inflict—and receive the tactile pleasure of the action?

There’s also the question of pushing the limits of what sex organs can even be. We’ve seen some of this with sextech toys that look anything but human.

Why not a whole genre of haptic tech devices appealing to those with more fantastic erotic imaginations? You could mix and match all kinds of shapes, colors, textures, and actions—or even give users the options to create their own. We are seeing some of this, with companies like MakerLove.com and others, but there is room for both greater flexibility in both action and design.

Beyond the limits of sex

We are truly surfing on the bleeding edge of sextech. Soon we may not be able to distinguish between real sex and an artificial variety.

But until we arrive at the technological nirvana that the Telsasuit and HaptoClone may be leading us toward, here’s hoping that many of the other brilliant engineers and designers working in the field will take some time to explore the whole spectrum of human sexual pleasure and not just keep their visions of the future either in the sky—or below the waist

Recently we looked at what a day in the not too distant future might look like, focusing particularly on the erotic.

In that same spirit here is another bit of playful speculation, but this time on what our future physical selves might be like—based both on the pace of current technology as well as some imaginative musings.

Beginning at the top

One of the most important changes will be in human consciousness itself: how we view the universe, our world, humanity, and even ourselves.

While we will eventually be able to augment our minds through cybernetic implants, that old staple of science fiction, it will take quite a few years for that to become commonplace. Mostly because, let’s face it, drilling a hole into your head just to access the Internet when you can do the very same thing with a smartphone is a bit silly—and risky.

What will allow us to literally change our minds will be a combination of medications, especially when they are made to perfectly mesh with our own DNA. Inklings of this possibility are showing themselves in emerging gene editing techniques like CRISPR as well as non-invasive deep brain stimulation, which is when you can affect the mind using skin surface contacts—no holes in the head required.

RECOMMENDED READ: In the Year 2125: When Your Sexual Possibilities Will Be Practically Limitless

It may even be possible to create new kinds of mental structures, or even personality types: taking what was once a source of discomfort and turning it into a fascinating new way of thinking and living.

It may even be possible to turn on, turn up, turn down, or turn off arousal. Need to focus on some task? Then sublimate your erotic impulses into problem solving or creativity—or even connect an activity like being productive into a form of sexual thrill.

Want a wild day off? Then switch on your libido and dial it up to 11! You could even tweak what you find sexually attractive. What happens to sexual bigotry when anyone can be attracted to everyone and anyone?

This also has the potential of controlling sexual anxiety. Feeling nervous? With a metaphorical flick of the switch, you won’t be. Sure, there’s lots of room for abuse—from the perils of addiction to this technology being used without consent—but let’s hope that from this technology will also come a framework for understanding and preventing these kinds of things from ever happening.

Wearing everything on your sleeve

As far as interfaces go, wearables will be your gateway both to the world beyond and into your own mind—until the era of brain implants arrives. Until then, things like augmented reality glasses and contact lenses, the aforementioned deep brain stimulation devices, and electronic tattoos will allow us to control our homes, our minds, and connect our bodies via the web to anywhere and anyone in the world.

Access to this level of immediate communication and information would mean that you would be able to understand any language from Farsi to Songhay, both spoken as well as written. Hearing it, you’d receive an instantaneous translation via bone conduction. Looking at it, you’d see a translation into your language of choice.

Augmented reality would also give you the ability to understand the world as never before. Glance at a building and you could, if you wanted, know everywhere from its architect to who lives on the third floor. Need to repair your bike? The instructions would be right there in front of your eyes.

And what if you think that person over there looks amazingly hot? A look and you would be able to see that not only is that person into what you are, but is looking for someone to play with.

Worried about privacy? If all goes well, you would only share what you want to share. And if someone else wants to know what you are sexually into, they’d only be able to tell if they were into it, too.

Be who or what you want to be

Much has been written about the average person of the future being an amalgam of what we erroneously call races. While it is true that we are mixing and matching like never before, this doesn’t take into account that, in just a few short years, things like melanin, epicanthic folds, hair color and texture, as well as the structures of the face and body will be completely changeable. Using, once again, gene editing technology as well as advanced plastic surgery techniques, you can choose your own physical form humanity’s vast array of possibilities.

The same is true with what we call gender and so-called secondary sexual characteristics. Our near-future human could have dark skin, epicanthic eyes, blond hair, six fingers, sensual breasts, and both a penis and a vagina. What would you call them? The answer: whatever they want to be called.

The basic shape of our bodies would also be just as flexible. Those living on space colonies might prefer to have extra hands instead of pretty useless feet. Others might choose to replace limbs with customizable tools, swapping them out for regular limbs when the job is finished.

In the area of genitalia, we will also have a staggering range of choices. Even though I just used the words penis and vagina, more than likely those words will be as outdated as the idea of race. Genitals, both artificial as well as biological, could be a phantasmagoria of shapes and uses—changed, even, as their user changes their sexual preference or interests.

A vision of the future

This is all just playful—and particularly hopeful—speculation. Who knows what will actually happen to us in the future. We may very well discover some new technological breakthrough that will change everything here, or suffer some major planetary setback.

But let’s hold onto the idea that as we become as advanced socially as we’ll eventually become technologically, that someday we will all outgrow bigotry, ignorance, and hate.

Here’s to the idea that we all will have the ability to become physically what we want to be—and that humanity will finally become a place of tolerance, acceptance and, most of all, love.

Chatbots allow performers to focus on what they’re good at

It may not be discussed enough, but with maintaining a regular performance and upload schedule, giving their fans what they want without becoming stale or predictable, and managing dozens, if not hundreds, of requests, online adult entertainment performers need all the assistance they can get.

Ironically, they are finding just that through a technology that’s been decried as potentially eliminating other occupations.

“It lets me operate at 90 percent when I’m at 30 percent,” Ela Darling told The Verge, referring to her use of LLM (Large Language Models) to deal with the often overwhelming number of messages she receives as a cam performer.

Five-year OnlyFans veteran Erika Amore agrees. Though for her, ChatGPT is less about wrangling her day-to-day struggles and more a tool for meeting the often niche demands of her fans. “I need some kind of creative component,” she said, such as using artificial intelligence to help script sexual role-playing scenes.

Tricking ChatGPT for fun and profit

As anyone can attest who’s tried to persuade chatbots to get a little, shall we say, naughty, bringing up anything sexually related will typically result in a “I’m sorry I can’t do that, Dave” response.

Not that this hasn’t stopped adult entertainers from discovering some remarkably creative workarounds. Max Steele, for instance, confessed that by hedging his requests as “academic psychology research,” he could circumvent ChatGPT’s programmed sexual inhibitions.

Likewise, Amore got the AI to send fans explicit messages by asking for some suggestions on how to have a “flirty conversation via text with my boyfriend.”

See a need, fill a need

As an increasing number of people, not just those involved with the adult entertainment industry, have grown increasingly frustrated with having to work around popular LLMs’ restrictions, we’ve seen the rise of others that are more than willing to get as sexual as their users desire.

RECOMMENDED READ: When’s a Cam Performer Not a Cam Performer? When It’s AI

MelRose Michaels developed GPTease by and for adult entertainers and sex workers to make their lives and businesses easier and more productive.

Opposed to other LLMs that were—and still often are—controversially trained with data collected without anyone’s consent, Michaels determinedly stated that the only information she used was her own.

For some, not for others

Naturally, not every adult entertainer is as open to LLMs lending them a digital hand as Darling, Amore, Steele, or Michaels are. Some, for instance, believe over-reliance on AIs may make it difficult for them to emotionally connect with their clients, leading to them feeling like they’re being passed off to a machine when they’re paying for real human sexual experiences.

On the other side of the issue, we’re also seeing the development and release of wholly artificial cam performers.

Lemoncams lists nearly a dozen different AI systems capable of delivering close-to-realistic experiences. The benefits they note include what a high percentage of living cam performers may already struggle with, such as maintaining a regular schedule of shows, responding to messages in a timely manner, or providing their fans with everything they want whenever they want it.

Openness is everything

For the first time, performers and their fans have the opportunity to choose how much or how little they want to use or interact with LLMs.

In either case, while automating much of what makes being a cam performer challenging is definitely appealing, paying customers deserve the respect of being informed when they’re interacting with anyone—or anything—who is not what was advertised.

If not, the result may end up not only harming the adult entertainer responsible but ironically could end up driving fans away from human experiences and towards artificial ones because, as Lemoncams made a point of mentioning, AIs can do a lot that people can’t—and at least you’ll never have to worry that the LLM you’ve been chatting with is, in reality, a person pretending to be someone else.

Cam performers absolutely deserve a helping hand, though it shouldn’t ever be at the expense of their paying fans. Like everything else in life, it’s a matter of finding a balance between getting what you need to keep going and giving your customers what they want—which, when all is said and done, is you.
