Then, thanks to a groundswell of overwhelmingly negative publicity, publicly apologizing and formally restoring the award..

2025’s recent event featured an impressive number of innovative products, including several from well-respected manufacturers such as Lovense, Ohdoki, Motorbunny, and others.

Hello, Sensera

A relative newcomer to the industry, Sensera took home an Artificial intelligence honorable mention for its vulva-focused sextoy which they enthusiastically refere to as a “sexual wellness device.”  

Made primarily out of medical grade, body-safe silicone, the Sensera comes with three interchangeable capsules containing specifically formulated lubricants, automatically dispensed when the toy’s array of sensors and built-in AI indicates when they’re needed the most: either to enhance user pleasure or just to make the experience more comfortable.

Ohdoki’s The Handy

Known for its advanced sextoy products, Ohdoki’s updated Handy stroker turned more than a few heads, particularly its optional new, heavy-duty articulated mount for a flexible, thoroughly hands-free experience.

The Handy’s interactivity has also been improved, boasting smartphone app compatibility for supported adult content, increased to over thirty thousand different videos across many platforms, and also to wirelessly join two Handy’s together.  

Hopefully, The Handy’s newest model has addressed some of the precious one’s issues, like its lack of an onboard battery—meaning it has to stay plugged in to work—and how annoyingly difficult it was to get it and its smartphone app to talk to each other.

Feeling the G’s with Motorbunny

Another familiar respected sextech company, Motorbunny’s unique approach to haptic gaming made quite a few headlines.  

Basically, a USB-C accessory for PlayStation 5, Xbox X/S, or Nintendo Switch controllers, when attached, the PlayMate Fluffer Haptic Relay Plug-in relays the player’s actions to any of Motorbunny’s five, Bluetooth-enabled pleasure devices.

As Gizmodo put it, “If you’ve ever wanted one of your favorite video games to take your sex level to the next level, the Motorbunny PlayMate Fluffer is the way to go.”

Ohdoki: Something for everyone

Clearly not a company willing to pass on a good—and pleasurable—opportunity, Ohdoki also unveiled The Oh!, a unique vulva-owner’s toy that, rather than using mechanical vibrations, instead employs ultrasonic waves to hit its owner’s, shall we say, high notes.

Similar to other smart sextoys, The Oh! is wirelessly operable from its companion app or can be set to respond to the user’s choice of music.  As with The Handy, it’s unsure if The Oh! exclusively uses Wifi or Bluetooth as well.

As I don’t yet have one to carefully examine and review, the Oh! appears to be less elegant, perhaps less easy to use, than toys from other companies.  But, as they say, the proof is in the pudding, so it may end up being an effective and enjoyable plaything.

Lovense, Lovense, and more Lovense

A personal favorite, Lovense garnered a lot of what seems to be a great deal of much-deserved attention for its smart-sensor equipped, touch-responsive Mission 2 and the Solace Pro, an impressively high-speed AI-supporting stroker.

Readers may already be familiar with the Solace Pro, as we gave it several enthusiastic thumbs up for its butter-smooth connectivity, well-put-together desk bracket, and while boasting an extremely fast stroke speed, felt more like a flesh-and-blood sexual experience and never once like having stuck oneself into a mechanical device.

CES 2026—we’ll see

It might be six years between Lora DiCarlo’s extremely poor treatment by CES officials, hypocritical considering the organizer’s other problematic  policy decisions such as ostracizing sextech developers while at the same time allowing scantily clad booth babes to show off their wares, however this year’s event appears to be at least a partial step in the right direction.

Moving forward we hope that CES won’t repeat its past mistakes with regard to sextech businesses, especially in light of the market’s projected billion-dollar growth between now and 2029. 

We can only wish that over the next year, CES, like many other trade shows, will finally recognize the financial, psychological, and sexual empowerment the industry has to offer—and not stick their heads in the sand or surrender yet again to anti-pleasure hysteria.

Unboxing the PULSE Solo Essential Dragon’s Eye

The Dragon’s Eye comes with its USB charging cord, a brief instruction manual, and a specifications and warranty sheet.

The Dragon’s Eye is a stylish combination of silicone and blue-shaded ABS plastic. It weighs 7.76 ounces (220 g) and measures 2.87 x 2.63 x 4.17 In (73 x 67 x 106mm). 

It sports an eight speed oscillator and six vibrations modes with several adjustable frequencies and is also conveniently waterproof. 

The Dragon’s Eye is  fitted with just three buttons, the power button and two more to increase or decrease oscillations. 

There is some discrepancy with the charging and run time information. The Hot Octopuss site says the toy lasts one hour on a three hour charge, but the specifications and warranty sheet says one and a half hours to last forty minutes.

Getting started

Before firing up the Dragon’s Eye, try first inserting your fingers into the toy and taking time to play with its various settings to see for  yourself how the different combinations feel—and just how powerful it is. If you are playing with a partner you also might want to do the same with them.

Not quite one size fits all

Hot Octopuss says generally the toy works best for people with “a minimum flaccid length of 3 ¼” (8.5cm), and a maximum girth of 8” (20cm) which is about 2 ½” (6.5cm) wide—no maximum on length or minimum on girth mentioned.

According to Hot Octopuss, its PulsePlate Technology is based on scientific studies of “the precise frequency and amplitude of vibrations necessary to allow orgasm in men with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI).” However the Dragon’s Eye is not a medical device and there’s no guarantee it’ll be effective for people with these sort of conditions  

People who have difficulty with gripping objects, especially those with a smooth, curved surface, may want to consider whether the size and weight of the Dragon’s eye will be comfortable to use—especially if they suspect they will need to hold it in place for long enough to keep their frenulum in contact with the PulsePlate. 

Partnered pleasures?

Just because a product is billed as solo doesn’t mean there aren’t opportunities for partner participation. For example, encouraging  a partner to edge with the Dragon’s Eye could be quite thrilling. Using the toy along with additional, simultaneous stimuli might be another. Innovatively designed massager is spot-on—for pleasure

If you or someone you know has a fondness for anal stimulation, especially of the prostate variety, I heartily suggest either of you rush out and get Lelo’s HUGO 2 Remote toy as soon as possible.

What you need

It’s easy to say a sextech device has been maximized, updated, or improved, and quite another when those tired, old advertising buzzwords are actual, factual reality.

As you may have guessed, I really do feel the HUGO 2 Remote is precisely that toy. 

In addition to its ergonomic shape, which makes it effortless to insert and get where its eight different vibrational settings can do the most good, its twenty percent power boost means that when it did hit the mark, it got me where I wanted to go faster than practically any other prostate massager I’ve used.

What you want

Though I was sent a HUGO 2 and a HUGO 2 Remote, I chose to focus on the latter due to its unusual—and surprisingly exciting—set-up.

When I get a toy and remote combo to check, both are often charged via a USB cable.  

Not so with the HUGO 2 Remote.  Or, to be more accurate, one is, and one isn’t as the toy itself has a USB port while the remote requires a pair of AAA batteries.  

I initially thought this was a somewhat weird decision on the manufacturer’s part.  However, after thinking further, I realized it’s actually quite brilliant.  

After all, few things are as annoying as wanting to fool around with a remotely operated state-of-the-art pleasure device only to find out either or both is deader-than-a-proverbial-doornail.  

Sure, the toy part of the HUGO 2 Remote combo still needs a two-hour charge for half that in playtime, but at least all that’s necessary to get the remote up and running is having a few extra batteries lying around.

What really, really works

Vibration-wise, the HUGO 2 Remote has eight unique patterns delivered by its set of twin motors, which are selectable through the toy’s built-in controls, its remote control, or the smartphone app.  

Making the remote is a whole lotta fun to use as it’s built around SenseMotion technology so you only have to turn, twist, or lift it to speed up, slow down, or cycle through the toys settings or lower levels.

What, alas, doesn’t

Unfortunately I experienced one real difficulty while test driving my HUGO 2 Remote, mostly that however hard I tried, I could not get it to work with the app.  

Not a huge deal, but disappointing nonetheless. Fortunately, it’s remote—despite taking longer than I would have liked—was much less problematic.

It’s also worth mentioning that, like with many toys I’ve reviewed, the ridiculously tiny manual is less than useless—making me sympathize again with those who have less-than-ideal eyesight, like myself, or don’t have access to a computer and might be unable to access the actually readable PDF version.

Back to the app, I wish Lelo would learn from other sextech companies and rethink its layout and features.  As it is now, attempting to navigate, let alone log-in, made me growl in frustration.

All in all, more than worth it

Also, like my other reviews for Lelo’s products, I have to give their HUGO 2 Remote top marks and highly recommend it to anyone with a prostate.

Its powerful twin motors, overall brilliantly designed shape and pleasure-enhancing engineering, novel and surprisingly comfortable remote, and Lelo’s SenseMotion technology make operating it a breeze. 

So much so, I totally forgot about needing to actually touch it, instead relishing in how I could simply lie back, wave its remote around, and enjoy the ride.

Adding all of this together guarantees you or any of your prostate-owning playmates will have a good and—maybe even a great time—playing with a HUGO 2 Remote as well.

An ergonomic wonder

Lelo’s SORAYA Beads comes with the anal massager, its USB power cord, a satin pouch for storage, a warranty registration card, and an exceptionally small—as in impossible to read—instruction manual.

Because nothing, even the best designed sex toys, is ever perfect, I have a single small quibble with Lelo’s SORAYA Beads. 

Chiefly is its lack of a readable manual.  While I expect smart toys to provide their users with an online guide—as they obviously tend to be more tech savvy—doing the same with a simpler anal massager feels unnecessarily cheap, if not frustratingly shortsighted as accessing SORAYA Beads’ online manual is hard enough for technofetishists like myself, but near impossible for anyone looking for a low tech, user friendly experience.

A new favorite

Of all the anal massagers I’ve tried, owned, or reviewed, Lelo’s SORAYA Beads won’t end up in my overstuffed closet with the rest of the good-but-not-great ones, instead receiving the high honor of living in my bedside table drawer.
