Control Your Lover’s Vibrator with OhMiBod’s New Remote App
Distance means nothing. All you need is WiFi to get frisky with someone far away.
And sex toy company OhMiBod aims to join the action by releasing its own long-distance love products. Its blueMotion vibrator and companion smartphone app are scheduled for sale this July.
Suki Dunham, co-founder of OhMiBod, says her company wants to tear down the intimate barriers erected by technology, using technology.
“Now when you get into bed at night, you curl up and cuddle up with your iPad as opposed to your partner,” she told Future of Sex.
“The idea behind blueMotion was to bridge that chasm that’s been created by these devices, and instead use these devices to create a connection.”
Compatible with iOS and Android, the OhMiBod Remote App boasts five different modes for controlling the woman’s vibe.
“Rhythm” lets users pick preset patterns, while “touch” allows them to create their own by sliding their fingers over the phone’s screen. “Wave” uses accelerometers already inside smartphones to gauge a device’s angle and then produce stronger or more stable movements.
People can also create custom pulsating patterns with “tap,” or record themselves speaking and then send matching vibrations with “voice.”
The blueMotion vibrator is modeled after OhMiBod’s own award-winning product, the Club Vibe 2.OH — a wireless and wearable device that buzzes to the beat of music. Its sleek, curved design slips easily into underwear and can also be controlled by a remote.
The new vibrator and app rely on Bluetooth, limiting the operating range to less than 30 feet. But, after a successful Indiegogo campaign that raised nearly $27,000, the company should be able to add WiFi capabilities in the next couple months.
So, are you willing to give this remote-controlled vibrator a try?
UPDATE: OhMiBod’s Indiegogo campaign continues to run after surpassing its initial fundraising goal of $20,000. People have until June 19 to contribute and to get the first blueMotion vibrators at discounted prices.
